Green Program

Parañaque, Manila

The Green Program came into being at Christmas 2009, and since April 2010 has been based within the TDC in Parañaque. It was Life Project 4 Youth’s pilot program!

The business was created with young ex-prisoners and homeless Young adults, and revolves around the weekly delivery of fruit and vegetables to homes in Makati, Alabang and Parañaque (Manila). Organized within the framework of “Professional Training for Entrepreneurs” (PTE) the activity takes up half the week and provides exposure to the various elements of a business, giving the young people a chance to test their skills.

With 14 team members and 2 years experience, the Green Program is rightly proud of its achievements and staying power: in February 2012 the program celebrated its 100th delivery!

The whole process comprises 80 separate tasks, and is organized as follows:














The Young adults have in addition developed communication tools such as sales brochures and a Facebook page for the program to inform clients of the latest products and services, and up to date news about the Green Program.
