Management of donations

Since its inception, LP4Y has been committed to keeping the running costs of the association to a minimum, both out of necessity and conviction. We keep the cost of launching new activities low, to enable the Young adults to identify with the activity as much as possible and to create in turn their own similar activities.

Every year the missions set up in the Philippines follow consultations with the Board and the LP4Y members. The provisional budget for 2012 was presented at the General Assembly in October 2011. The Board approved the 2012 budget in March 2012. Each of the national branches indicated their planned level of contribution.

Since LP4Y’s creation, all teams have voluntary status (VSI) or independent.

For the centers, LP4Y looks for the most economic solutions, taking all factors into account and ensuring that contracts can be interrupted if necessary.

All furniture in the centers has either been donated or is made by the Young adults, who also take care of maintenance and repairs. Apart from one printer per center, all computer equipment has been donated. Volunteers use their own laptops.

The administrators and volunteers of the association pay for their own travel expenses within the Philippines.
